Where do they go?

Animals report on life after death

As an animal communicator, I am also contacted by people who just lost their animal companion and who are anxious to know that their furry friend is in a safe place and doing fine. This is a particularly rewarding aspect of my work, as it helps people let go of worry, assists in the grieving and healing process, and allows for closure to the loss of a loved animal companion. In this blog, I thought I would share one of the stories told to me by animals I contacted after their passing. As always, the following story is posted with the permission of the animal’s person:

Sammy

Sammy, the cat you met in a previous post on this blog, did not come home again, one day. When her person called me and I contacted Sammy, she told me she had been startled by a kid on a skateboard and had run in front of a car. She was dead. She then proceeded to show me how quickly she had left her body upon the car’s impact, so that she experienced no trauma. Then she showed me what appeared to be a big meadow in an idyllic country setting. She was contently lying in the grass, enjoying the sunshine. She told me she was sorry to leave so unexpectedly, but that she was doing fine and felt happy where she was.

Sometimes, our recently deceased animal companions are able to communicate with us, such as in our dreams, for example, and let us know that they are doing fine. Upon losing an animal companion, have you had any thoughts/impressions/feelings/dreams/signs in your life about your animal’s possible afterlife? If so, I would be interested in hearing about it. Though you asked for people to share impressions, dreams, etc. concerning deceased animal companions, I wanted to share something that happened this morning regarding my living ones.

I have 2 lovely animal companions: a father (cat) and his son. I’m especially bonded to the father; and I swear that we have a level of communication that defies my comprehension.

It isn’t just that I understand his varied meows that impart specific things he wants (to play, to be talked to) — but there are things I can’t explain, like being able to tell when he wants more food before he even approaches me. Or I can feel the very moment he’s going to enter the room I’m in before he even moves.

Well, this morning I had a dream that I believe he sent me. I never had a dream anything like it before: it was a gathering of cats. For some reason, I focused especially on all the cats’ noses and how very different the noses were in shapes, coloring, etc. It was something I’d never paid particular attention to when I was awake.

The reason I believe the dream was part of his own thoughts was that it was from a cat’s perspective. The cats were at eye level, and in the dream’s perspective we were the same size. It was as if I were a cat and not a tall human looking down at them.

I also dreamed about food & litter, all in a perspective that I’d never experienced in my waking hours. I’d write about those bits in detail but this all sounds unbelievable as it is!

This all makes me reconsider what I read today about the validity of “Professional Animal Communicators.” Some believe that animals communicate with us through thoughts constantly, and that we send our thoughts to them as well.

    I’m beginning to believe it.
